In 2007, BMW Sterling commissioned cox graae + spack architects to prepare a concept design for a new facility. The resulting design for the new 75,000 sf BMW of Sterling complex strives to feature the BMW brand in an environment that enhances the customer experience. The renovated showroom is capped with a cloud roof hovering above expansive glass walls to fill the room with abundant natural light. New car deliveries are prominently featured in a six-bay, canopy-covered display area. Customer amenities are enhanced including a BMW merchandise boutique, several elegant customer lounges, a café and a customer movie room. Service bay capacity is tripled in a state-of-the-art addition crowned by a six-story parking structure with a capacity for 600 cars on the 6.6 acre site. Designed in the spirit of BMW Welt, the new Sterling facility becomes a physical expression of the excellence that is represented in the dealership’s continuing commitment to their clients and the BMW brand.
