cox graae + spack architects was selected by the Church of the Atonement to design a series of strategic site and building modifications. The church desired improvements in site circulation and handicap accessibility, as well as enlarged Narthex and Chancel spaces. cox graae + spack architects reconfigured the site to develop a new covered, primary entrance for the church and an expanded Narthex. The Narthex features a new stair and elevator tower for universal accessibility. Altar space in the Chancel was increased and enhanced lighting, and acoustical enhancements were installed to allow flexibility of use for both church services or other musical performances and presentations.
