cox graae + spack architects restored and renovated an historic three-story townhouse on DC’s Embassy Row to serve as the home for a private arts foundation. The institution was formed to selectively distribute a prominent family’s holdings and provide support to various arts organizations. The building contains offices for the foundation, acts as a gallery for the owner’s diverse collection of 2-D and 3-D art, and provides multiple interior and exterior venues for entertaining on the organization’s behalf. The project involved a restoration of the exterior façade, a new sculpture garden entry, and a full interior renovation of the townhouse.
